About The Position

As an Assistant Store Manager at AutoZone, you will support daily store operations, energize team performance, and drive sales in a fast-paced retail environment. Through leadership, clear communication, and a commitment to WOW! customer service, you will contribute to store success and help develop future talent. You will assist the Store Manager with team leadership, sales, inventory, customer service, operational processes, safety, and financial oversight.

• Proficiency in managing, analyzing, and reconciling Profit & Loss statements.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs arise.

• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, supervising, scheduling, training, and developing store personnel.
• Promote clear and effective communication with employees and customers.
• Help meet sales targets, maintain accurate inventory levels, and optimize cash flow.
• Oversee store operations and ensure efficient workflows and compliance with company standards when the Store Manager or Commercial Sales Manager is absent.
• Ensure customers receive WOW! service, proactively resolve concerns, and turn complaints into positive experiences.
• Lead company initiatives through productivity, training, and retention of high-performing employees.
• Maintain operational efficiency and effective merchandising, including a clean, organized, and visually appealing shopping environment.
• Enforce personal protective equipment (PPE) use, promote workplace safety, and assist with risk management activities.
• Support budgeting, analyze Profit & Loss statements, and monitor expense controls to maximize profitability.
