About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in leading store operations and the retail team. The role helps create a welcoming, relaxed guest experience through motivation, support, communication, and role modeling effective sales and service behaviors. The Assistant Store Manager builds guest relationships, helps achieve sales plans through planning and business analysis, and works to streamline store processes. The role also coaches and develops team members, supports hiring and performance expectations, and encourages sales results and internal career growth. Other duties may be performed as needed to support the business.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of retail experience.
• At least 2 years of management team supervision experience.
• Exposure to merchandising and retail visual concepts.
• Experience coaching and developing a team.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate naturally and analyze reports, identify opportunities, and take initiative in making merchandising and presentation adjustments.
• College degree in Business or a related degree.
• Willingness to work varied hours and days, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds frequently.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling; occasional ladder climbing; and routine standing for the duration of a shift, up to 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to lead by example through motivation, support, and communication, with the goal of providing an exceptional experience for internal and external guests.
• Build sales and service relationships with guests across store operations and role model key sales and service behaviors.
• Help achieve the sales plan through efficient planning, execution, business analysis, and streamlining store processes with the Store Manager.
• Coach and develop Retail Team Members and create a learning environment that promotes sales and internal career growth.
• Support thoughtful hiring and set clear performance expectations.
• Perform other duties as required to support the business.
