Assistant Store Manager - Dulles Town Center
About The Position
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in building and developing a team that delivers strong results and an excellent customer experience. The role shares responsibility for store operations and maintaining a visually appealing store, while creating a positive environment that engages and develops managers, associates, and customers. The Assistant Store Manager reports to the Store Manager and may perform management functions when the Store Manager is absent. The position requires a competitive, self-motivated team leader who can manage competing priorities, adapt to change, and contribute to business growth. The role includes customer engagement, sales and operational execution, team development, and accountability for an assigned division. Pay is listed at USD $16.00–$22.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Flexible availability to meet business needs, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to bend, lift, open, and move product and fixtures weighing up to 50 lbs., as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of experience as a Co-Manager or Assistant Manager in a similar-volume apparel business.
- A proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations.
- Ability to travel occasionally to other store locations, if needed.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Store Manager to create action plans that achieve results and grow the business.
- Demonstrate product knowledge, selling, and operational skills to maximize sales.
- Engage customers and build relationships and brand loyalty using company tools.
- Partner with the Store Manager to develop team members committed to creating a great customer experience.
- Oversee an assigned division of responsibility and be accountable for its results.
- Support the Store Manager in consistently meeting merchandising and operational standards.
- Learn all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive it forward.
- Remain composed when facing challenges and unforeseen circumstances.
- Perform POS transactions on designated shifts and execute management functions when the Store Manager is absent.
