About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports store performance and operations at Marshalls, helping create an inclusive and supportive environment for Associates and a positive customer experience. The role oversees key store functions, develops and mentors Associates, implements company initiatives and action plans, and works to meet sales, expense, and customer service targets. The position is bonus and overtime eligible, with a starting pay range of $22.70 to $31.20 per hour.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of retail leadership experience as an Assistant Manager or Store Manager.
Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and empower a large team.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to influence others and provide effective feedback and mentorship.
Proficiency in store operations, customer service, merchandising, people management, health and safety, and loss prevention.
Strong follow-through skills to successfully implement tasks and initiatives.

Responsibilities

Support sales results, manage expenses, and oversee store operations including merchandising, backroom, frontline, cash office, customer service, markdowns, scheduling, shipping, and receiving.
Focus on minimizing shrink and damages.
Attract, recruit, train, and develop Associates.
Mentor and role-model supportive behavior to promote positive experiences for Associates and customers.
Communicate and implement action plans for projects, targets, company initiatives, and store changes.
Provide input on succession planning.
Implement strategies to meet sales, expense, and customer service targets.
Coordinate loss prevention and operational programs.
Improve store layout and efficiency.
