About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in building a results-driven team that delivers an excellent customer experience. The role shares responsibility for store operations and maintaining an appealing store environment, while fostering a positive atmosphere that develops and engages managers, associates, and customers. The Assistant Store Manager partners with the Store Manager to achieve results, grow the business, and ensure merchandising and operational standards are consistently met. This role reports to the Store Manager.

Requirements

• A proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations.
• Flexible availability to meet business needs, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to bend, lift, open, and move product and fixtures weighing up to 50 lbs., as needed.

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of experience as a Co/Assistant Manager in a similar-volume apparel business (preferred).
• Occasional travel to other store locations may be required, if needed.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to create action plans that achieve results and grow the business.
• Demonstrate product knowledge, selling skills, and operational skills to maximize sales.
• Engage with customers and use company tools to build relationships and brand loyalty.
• Partner with the Store Manager to develop team members committed to creating a great customer experience.
• Oversee an assigned division of responsibility and be accountable for its results.
• Support the Store Manager in consistently meeting store merchandising and operational standards.
• Learn about all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive it forward.
• Remain composed when facing challenges and unforeseen circumstances.
• Perform POS transactions on designated shifts and carry out management functions when the Store Manager is absent.
