As an Assistant Store Manager at AutoZone, you support daily store operations, energize team performance, and drive sales in a fast-paced retail environment. You help create a knowledgeable, positive shopping experience by ensuring customers receive excellent service and the right automotive parts and solutions. You also contribute to store success by developing employees and maintaining efficient, safe, and compliant operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, supervising, scheduling, training, and developing store personnel.
• Promote clear and effective communication with employees and customers and foster a positive, engaging environment.
• Help meet sales targets, maintain accurate inventory levels, and optimize cash flow.
• Oversee store operations and ensure efficient workflows and compliance with company standards when the Store Manager or Commercial Sales Manager is absent.
• Ensure customers receive WOW! service, proactively resolve concerns, and turn complaints into positive experiences.
• Support company initiatives by promoting productivity, training, and retention of high-performing employees.
• Maintain operational efficiency through effective merchandising and a clean, organized, visually appealing shopping environment.
• Enforce the use of personal protective equipment, promote workplace safety, and assist with risk management.
• Support budgeting, analyze Profit & Loss statements, and monitor expense controls to maximize profitability.
• Lift, load, and deliver merchandise safely and accurately.
