About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager with daily store operations, employee training and management, customer service, and service and tire-related work. The role may fill in for the Store Manager during absences and provide hands-on support across the front desk and shop. Duties may also include job-related tasks beyond those explicitly listed.

Requirements

Driver's license and clean driving record required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the tire industry required.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Basic mathematical skills.
Ability to understand and carry out written, oral, or diagram-based instructions using common sense.
Basic computer skills; training will be provided as needed.
Good communication skills with customers, employees, and vendors in person, by phone, and through electronic tools such as email and text messaging.
Ability to meet the physical demands described in the posting, including lifting or exerting force and frequent reaching and handling.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Support multiple store functions and fill in for the Store Manager during absences.
Collaborate with the Store Manager on daily store operations and employee training, coaching, and management.
Assist with employee scheduling, time-clock reporting, and work assignments.
Interact with customers, recommend products, and schedule service.
Process paperwork and use company computer systems to help maintain accurate billing and inventory.
Act as a shop foreman and service writer.
Answer phones, assist customers, and perform tire changes.
Provide hands-on support at the front desk.
Cash out customers and support and conduct tire deliveries.
Perform tire technician duties when needed.
