About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in building and developing a team that delivers results and provides an excellent customer experience. The role shares responsibility for executing store operations, maintaining an appealing store, and creating a positive environment for managers, associates, and customers. The Assistant Store Manager oversees an assigned division, contributes to sales and business growth, and performs management functions when the Store Manager is absent. This position reports to the Store Manager.

The position is at Smith Haven Mall. Pay is USD $19.50–$27.00 per hour. Occasional travel to other store locations may be required if needed. The role requires the ability to bend, lift, open, and move product and fixtures weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Co/Assistant Manager in an apparel business of similar volume (preferred).
• A proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations.
• Flexible availability to meet business needs, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to bend, lift, open, and move product and fixtures weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Partner with the Store Manager to create action plans that achieve results and grow the business.
• Demonstrate product knowledge, selling skills, and operational skills to maximize sales.
• Engage with customers and use company tools to build relationships and brand loyalty.
• Partner with the Store Manager to develop team members committed to creating a great customer experience.
• Oversee an assigned division of responsibility and be accountable for its results.
• Support the Store Manager in consistently meeting merchandising and operational standards.
• Learn about all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive the business.
• Remain composed when facing challenges and unforeseen circumstances.
• Perform POS transactions on designated shifts and execute management functions when the Store Manager is absent.
