Assistant Store Manager
About The Position
Assistant Managers at Andy’s oversee all aspects of store operations and ensure the facility is clean and well-maintained. They lead by example to achieve high customer satisfaction while providing high-quality custard and exceptional service. They also help maintain Andy’s fun, family-like, professional culture. This is an extremely hands-on role that involves working up front with guests and staff across shifts, rather than working in an office. The position offers a fun, clean, family-friendly environment and opportunities to grow as the company opens additional stores. The stated schedule is 40–45 hours per week, with flexible scheduling and open availability required, including late nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of proven management experience in the food service industry or a leadership role in a related industry.
- Must be able to physically work all shifts up front while taking care of guests and staff.
- Must be friendly, enthusiastic, and energetic.
- Must lead by example and uphold high operating standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to help the team grow through ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be able to work full-time with open availability, including late nights, weekends, and some holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Solid employment track record with positive references.
- Constant standing and walking.
- Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 55 pounds independently and safely.
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, or similar.
- Constant use of a computer, point-of-sale register, and fountain equipment.
- Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist and spine.
- Constant reaching, turning, and precision work around the fountain area.
- Constant talking and exchanging ideas through spoken communication.
- Constant clarity of vision at near and/or far distances.
- Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
