About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager and/or Associate Store Manager in achieving Levi’s Store Iconic status. The role helps develop the store team and implement strategies and operational practices that support brand equity, customer satisfaction, and financial growth. The Assistant Store Manager assumes responsibility for the store when the Store Manager and/or Associate Store Manager is absent.

Requirements

• Three years of progressively responsible retail leadership experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Solid experience and demonstrated skills supervising, coaching, and training sales associates.
• Strong retail apparel experience.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and handle last-minute changes without becoming frustrated.
• Excellent discretion, judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new computer programs quickly.
• Energetic, positive, and helpful demeanor, with passion and interest in Levi Strauss & Co.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational results related to store procedures, payroll, cash handling, and inventory control.
• Ensure operational standards are achieved and hold others accountable for meeting them.
• Assist with hiring, training, and retaining store staff who model LS&Co. selling practices, provide authentic customer service, and meet sales goals.
• Deliver the store’s visual presentation in accordance with corporate direction and recommend merchandising adaptations when needed.
• Recruit candidates, conduct screening interviews for stylist positions, and recommend new hires.
• Participate in onboarding and training new hires on LS&Co. culture, product knowledge, selling practices, and associate responsibilities.
• Coach and develop staff to strengthen their knowledge and skills and support continued growth within the organization.
• Contribute to a positive work environment that encourages employee retention and talent development.
• Manage minor employee relations issues, including performance management and accountability for compliance with LS&Co. policies and procedures.
• Assume responsibility for the store in the absence of the Store Manager and/or Associate Store Manager.
