About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager works in partnership with the Store Manager to help ensure the success of a Trek retail location. The role focuses on store operations while developing leadership and business acumen. The Assistant Store Manager leads training for new and experienced employees, supports operational excellence across inventory and customer hospitality, and participates in budgeting and financial reviews. With ongoing feedback from the Store Manager, the role helps make the store a favorite in the community and supports Trek’s goal of getting more people on bikes.

Responsibilities

• Develop leadership skills to support daily store operations and train employees.
• Participate in weekly service meetings.
• Exemplify Trek’s sales process while being one of the top two sellers in the store.
• Fulfill administrative duties related to hiring and onboarding new employees.
• Delegate daily task list assignments, including following through on Lead List communication.
• Maintain store merchandising according to visual merchandising standards, including product placement, price auditing, and product restocking.
• Use the POS system to monitor sales and analyze trends.
• Participate in budgeting and financial review processes.
