About The Position

As an Assistant Store Manager at AutoZone, you will support daily store operations, energize team performance, and drive sales in a fast-paced retail environment. You will help lead the store team, provide excellent customer service, maintain operational standards, and support store success and employee development. The role includes assisting with personnel management, sales and inventory performance, store processes, safety, merchandising, and financial oversight. The position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs arise.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with recruiting, supervising, scheduling, training, and developing store personnel.
• Promote clear and effective communication with employees and customers.
• Help meet sales targets, maintain accurate inventory levels, and optimize cash flow.
• Oversee store operations and ensure efficient workflows and compliance with company standards when the Store Manager or Commercial Sales Manager is absent.
• Ensure customers receive WOW! service, proactively resolve concerns, and turn complaints into positive experiences.
• Lead company initiatives by supporting productivity, training, and retention of high-performing employees.
• Maintain operational efficiency through effective merchandising and a clean, organized, visually appealing shopping environment.
• Enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), promote workplace safety, and assist with risk management.
• Support budgeting, analyze Profit & Loss statements, and monitor expense controls to maximize profitability.
