About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager is a front-line brand ambassador for Check N Go, Allied Cash Advance, or Cash Store, all part of CNG Holdings, Inc. The role supports the company’s mission and core values while helping ensure outstanding customer service and regulatory compliance. The position serves and educates customers about financial products and services, handles customer inquiries and transactions, and performs cash-management duties. The role may require travel among stores in the assigned district and neighboring districts, including occasional overnight travel.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Strong customer service, active listening, and verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work autonomously.
Personal reliable transportation that complies with company policy; public transportation or transportation from family or friends does not qualify.
Maintain a valid driver’s license and valid automobile insurance while employed.
Ability and willingness to consistently embrace the company’s core values of being accountable, inclusive, transparent, and focused.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience in sales, customer service, and/or cash handling.

Responsibilities

Serve and educate customers by presenting product and service options that meet their needs.
Escalate customer issues to the Store Manager, District Director of Operations, or corporate office when unable to resolve them directly.
Answer telephone inquiries about general questions, customer applications, requests, and other issues.
Make outbound customer sales, courtesy, and collection calls in accordance with federal regulations, store procedures, and district or region volume expectations.
Communicate professionally and accurately, explain possible solutions, and help customers feel supported and valued.
Use active listening to confirm or clarify information and diffuse customer complaints.
Handle and count currency, cash, and coins; manage a cash drawer; move cash from a secure safe to the drawer; and perform other cash-handling duties.
Make bank deposits or bank pick-ups when responsible for them.
Balance individual batch receipts against store sales reports at the end of the day and help resolve over/short discrepancies.
Perform customer verifications to validate information provided.
Process transactions accurately and according to company policy, including loans, check cashing, and Net Spend.
Comply with federal and state regulations and company policies and procedures.
Complete compliance training and quarterly I Agree requirements on time.
Travel to stores within the assigned district and, when requested, neighboring districts.
Work assigned shifts as scheduled.
Perform other duties as assigned.
