About The Position

Mizzen+Main is seeking a highly motivated, fashion-forward, and enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager to help lead its retail team. The role supports the Store Manager in day-to-day operations and contributes to store performance, an exceptional customer experience, and a positive, productive store culture. The Assistant Store Manager represents the brand, models personalized customer service, and helps ensure customers have an informed and seamless shopping journey. The role also supports staffing, training, sales performance, daily store execution, inventory control, visual merchandising, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

1–3 years of retail or customer-facing experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and influence a team.
Proficiency using computers, tablets, and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Ability to bend, reach, and stretch for products; lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs.
Comfort with climbing ladders, moving around regularly, and standing for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Prior leadership or assistant management experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Represent Mizzen+Main with professionalism, product knowledge, and a refined personal presentation.
Deliver and model exceptional, personalized customer service to establish team standards and drive customer loyalty.
Stay informed about current promotions, product launches, and in-store and online events to support a seamless customer journey.
Maintain a clean, inviting, brand-aligned retail environment.
Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally to support satisfaction and retention.
Support the Store Manager with staffing, training, sales performance, and daily execution of store initiatives.
Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training sales associates and keyholders.
Provide daily coaching and on-floor leadership to align the team with sales and service goals.
Support opening and closing duties, inventory control, and visual merchandising.
Maintain an organized and efficient stockroom to support timely replenishment and product flow.
Assist with floor sets and visual displays in line with brand standards and seasonal initiatives.
Ensure compliance with Mizzen+Main operational policies and procedures.
