About The Position

Assists the Store Manager with management of retail store operations. Motivates the store team to reinforce customer service and ensure the store consistently executes all operational functions to company standards. Assists with managing and supervising Sales Associates, including directing and coordinating work, planning and assigning duties, addressing complaints, and resolving problems in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge of the retail industry.
Excellent supervisory and leadership abilities.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree preferred.
Nutritional retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Keep up to date with new nutrition trends, quality information, and products, and foster a health, wellness, and nutrition culture.
Ensure compliance with POS policies and procedures and Category Management requirements, including store planograms and required merchandising.
Execute and maintain operational, promotional, visual, and merchandise standards and initiatives.
Achieve or exceed store financial goals and sales plans, and manage expenses within budget.
Implement and execute people practices that support the growth of the company, individuals, and the team.
Assist the Store Manager in building and developing a qualified Sales Associate team through recruitment, training, and development.
Create appropriate schedules based on business needs and payroll guidelines.
Establish, model, and reinforce outstanding customer service and selling, and foster a positive, inclusive work and shopping environment that promotes sales.
Execute company policies and objectives within the store.
Maintain effective communication and partner with the Corporate Office, including the POS department and Category Manager.
Protect and maintain company assets and resources, and ensure stores and work areas are clean, secure, and well maintained.
Communicate and bring the company vision, values, and expectations to life in stores.
Comply with safety and GMP requirements.
Assist the Store Manager with directing, coordinating, and evaluating the retail unit and its Sales Associates.
Plan and assign work, address complaints, and resolve problems in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
