About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in building and developing a team that delivers an excellent customer experience. The role shares responsibility for store operations, maintaining visual standards, achieving sales and business results, and creating a positive environment for managers, associates, and customers. The Assistant Store Manager reports to the Store Manager and may perform management functions when the Store Manager is absent.

Requirements

• Flexible availability to meet business needs, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to bend, lift, open, and move product and fixtures weighing up to 50 lbs., as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of experience as a Co/Assistant Manager in an apparel business with similar volume.
• A proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations.
• Ability to travel occasionally to other store locations, if needed.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to create action plans that achieve results and grow the business.
• Apply product knowledge, selling skills, and operational skills to maximize sales.
• Engage with customers and use company tools to build relationships and brand loyalty.
• Partner with the Store Manager to develop team members committed to providing a great customer experience.
• Oversee an assigned division of responsibility and be accountable for its results.
• Support the Store Manager in consistently meeting store merchandising and operational standards.
• Learn about all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive it forward.
• Remain composed when facing challenges and unforeseen circumstances.
• Perform POS transactions on designated shifts and carry out management functions when the Store Manager is absent.
