About The Position

Zales is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to assist the Store Manager with day-to-day store performance and team development. The role focuses on helping the team achieve individual and shared standards, sales goals, and profit projections while contributing to an atmosphere of total customer satisfaction. The Assistant Store Manager trains and evaluates team members, develops their skills and product knowledge, and participates in recruiting and selection. The role also follows and enforces company policies and procedures and performs other operational and strategic duties. Zales provides training in sales techniques, product knowledge, and job skills, with opportunities for career advancement and promotion from within.

Requirements

• At least one year of retail experience; experience with a jeweler or specialty retailer is preferred.
• Knowledge of operating POS terminals and scanners and using basic computer software and hardware.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form.
• Availability to work days, nights, and weekends.
• Commitment to excellence, desire to grow, and ability to provide a superior customer experience.
