About The Position

The Assistant Manager sells and promotes all products and services offered by Plaza Tire in accordance with company store standards and expectations. The role helps manage the team and workflow in the shop and serves as the manager on duty when the store manager is absent. Compensation is $50,000–$80,000 per year, consisting of hourly pay plus commission.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in sales, customer service, or an automotive-related field.
Professional appearance and proven ability to work in a process-driven environment.
Valid driver’s license.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to work a minimum of five days per week, including Saturdays.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience as a Service Advisor is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet customers promptly and professionally in person and by telephone using the company’s standardized customer service techniques.
Listen to and document customers’ concerns; inspect vehicles and review service history to identify and verify service needs.
Recommend services within the appropriate level of knowledge.
Explain additional recommendations from Automotive Technicians so customers can make informed decisions, and document recommendations in customer files.
Promote appropriate services, parts, and accessories by demonstrating understanding of products and associated service requirements.
Provide accurate quotes, including costs and completion times, for customer-approved services.
Update customers throughout the day on service status.
Follow cash-out procedures, including reviewing the completed multi-point inspection and explaining applicable warranties.
Conduct post-repair and declined-service follow-up calls to ensure customer satisfaction.
Track new returns, core returns, and warranty parts for individual customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
