About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in building a results-oriented team and delivering an excellent customer experience. The role shares responsibility for store operations and maintaining an appealing store environment, while fostering a positive atmosphere that develops and engages managers, associates, and customers. The Assistant Store Manager reports to the Store Manager.

Requirements

• Flexible availability to meet business needs, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to bend, lift, open, and move products and fixtures weighing up to 50 pounds, as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years as a Co/Assistant Manager in a similar-volume apparel business.
• A proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations.
• Ability to travel occasionally to other store locations, if needed.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to create action plans that achieve results and grow the business.
• Demonstrate product knowledge, selling, and operational skills to maximize sales.
• Engage with customers and use company tools to build relationships and brand loyalty.
• Partner with the Store Manager to develop team members committed to creating a great customer experience.
• Oversee an assigned division of responsibility and remain accountable for its results.
• Support the Store Manager in consistently meeting merchandising and operational standards.
• Learn about all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive it forward.
• Remain composed during challenges and unforeseen circumstances.
• Perform point-of-sale transactions on designated shifts and execute management functions when the Store Manager is absent.
