About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports customers with financial services while gaining hands-on experience in store operations and developing leadership skills. The role focuses on account management, customer outreach, risk management, customer service, compliance, and meeting individual and team performance standards. It is an in-person position requiring a full-time schedule of at least 40 hours per week, including weekends. The listed hourly wage is $16.00. The company provides paid on-the-job training, a new-hire program, learning resources, cross-brand training, a key holder program, and performance-based career advancement. The position is with the Community Choice Financial Family of Brands at TitleMax in Pulaski, Tennessee.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of experience in customer service, sales, or retail.
At least three months of supervisory, key holder, or relevant leadership experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with phones, point-of-sale systems, Microsoft Office, and other computer systems.
At least 18 years of age, or 19 in Alabama.
Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a personal vehicle available for use throughout the workday; mileage is compensated.
Successful completion of a background check, conducted and considered in accordance with applicable law.
Ability to meet physical demands, including frequently remaining stationary and standing for up to 90% of the time, moving and transporting up to 25 pounds, moving inside and outside the store, and operating mechanical controls such as a keyboard.
Ability to maintain a full-time schedule of at least 40 hours per week, including weekends.

Nice To Haves

Management experience in retail, convenience store, grocery, finance, service, or related industries.
Experience in check cashing, document verification, or money order processing.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills; may be required at certain locations.

Responsibilities

Offer financial services suited to customers’ needs.
Assess transaction risk and evaluate and accurately process loan and pawn applications, check-cashing transactions, and ancillary products.
Complete daily call campaigns to market services, build business, and maintain customer relationships.
Oversee account management and recovery processes, including collection calls, while providing customer service and helping prevent losses and charge-offs.
Maintain accurate customer information in the point-of-sale system.
Support, coach, and develop Customer Service Representatives when applicable, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety procedures.
Perform duties outside the office when applicable, including on-site vehicle appraisals, store errands, and external marketing.
Meet company performance standards through business-to-business partnerships, referrals, and participation in or hosting of in-store and community events.
Maintain store security protocols and perform opening and closing procedures, including management of the vault and cash drawer.
Help ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Help conduct store audits, create reports, and compile financial data.
Monitor and maintain store appearance and cleanliness, address basic facility needs, and schedule maintenance services.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple challenging tasks, and meet individual and team performance standards.
Conduct additional tasks as directed by leadership.
Maintain a full-time schedule with regular in-person attendance, including weekends.
