About The Position

This role is responsible for assisting with the oversight and management of the C-store. The Assistant Store Manager will help establish short-term strategies, goals, and objectives for the store in alignment with the strategic plan. This includes overseeing adherence to brand and merchandising standards, marketing efforts, image standards, financial management, safety, and asset protection. The goal is to ensure consistent and profitable operations with continuous improvement. The role involves purchasing and marketing convenience store merchandise, managing vendor relationships, coaching team members, providing direction and guidance, and assisting with performance management, training, and development. Additionally, the Assistant Store Manager will assist with managing expenses according to budget while maintaining revenue and superior customer service, and ensuring adherence to all regulations, Company, H&S, Loss Prevention policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years management experience preferably

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate day to day behaviors and actions that align with and strengthen our Co-operative’s vision, mission, values, brand and focus on safety
  • Responsible for assisting with the oversight and management of the C-store.
  • Help establish short-term strategies, goals, and objectives for the store in alignment with the strategic plan.
  • Assist to oversee adherence to brand and merchandising standards, marketing efforts, image standards, financial management, safety and asset protection.
  • Ensure consistent and profitable operations with the goal of continually improving operations.
  • Purchase and market convenience store merchandise and manage relationships with vendors.
  • Assist coaching team members, providing day to day direction and guidance, including performance management, training, and development.
  • Assist with managing expenses according to budget while maintaining revenue and superior customer service.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulations, Company, H&S, Loss Prevention policies and procedures.
