About The Position

JD Finish Line is hiring management team members for its South Coast Plaza store in Costa Mesa, California. Management team members oversee daily store operations, develop and lead employees, and deliver excellent customer experiences while contributing to store performance and company growth. The posting includes roles for Assistant Store Manager and Supervisor, with role-specific availability and work-week requirements. The position involves leading and developing staff; providing customer service; driving sales and profitability; managing merchandise, inventory, store presentation, and maintenance; ensuring compliance with company policies and safety requirements; managing budgets and expenses; analyzing sales data; supporting local marketing and community relationships; and identifying operational improvements. Additional duties and projects may be assigned. Assistant Store Managers must have open availability for store opening and closing hours, a minimum standard work week of five days, and an average standard work week of 44 hours, with increased hours during peak sales periods. Supervisors must be available for opening and closing hours and have at least five days of availability, with a minimum standard work week of 30 hours. All management roles require weekend and holiday availability, punctuality and regular attendance, reliable transportation, and clear English communication and literacy, including business-related mathematics. Employees may need to move to other company locations based on operational needs and career growth. The work takes place in a moderately noisy retail setting and involves prolonged standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pulling, climbing ladders or stairs, and regularly lifting items weighing 5–25 pounds; heavier lifting may be required in some circumstances. Good vision, including color differentiation, is required. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. A high school diploma or GED is required. Two or more years of retail leadership experience is strongly preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Assistant Store Manager pay is $20.38–$23.50 per hour, with bonus opportunities when store KPIs are met. Supervisor pay is $18.90 per hour. All roles are eligible for the company 401(k) plan. Full-time roles are eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverage, sick leave, parental leave, and company-paid time off.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or in a similar role, with a record of achieving sales targets and managing a team.
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Passion for outstanding customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences.
Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications.
