About The Position

JD Finish Line is hiring management team members for its Mall of Louisiana store in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Management team members oversee daily store operations, lead and develop employees, and deliver exceptional customer experiences while contributing to store performance and company growth. The role encompasses sales, merchandise and inventory management, visual merchandising, store maintenance, budgeting, expense control, community engagement, and compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations. Managers are expected to work flexible schedules that include weekends and holidays. Assistant Store Managers average 44 hours per week, with increased hours during peak sales periods; Supervisors have a minimum standard work week of 30 hours. The work takes place in a moderately noisy retail setting and involves prolonged standing and other physical tasks. High school diploma or GED is required. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or in a similar role, with a record of achieving sales targets and managing a team.
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Commitment to outstanding customer service and memorable shopping experiences.
Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications.
Assistant Store Manager: open availability for store opening and closing hours, including mornings, days, and nights; a minimum standard work week of 5 days; average standard work week of 44 hours, with increased hours during peak sales periods.
Supervisor: availability for store opening and closing hours, including mornings, days, and nights; availability at least 5 days per week; minimum standard work week of 30 hours.
All management: availability on weekends and holidays; punctuality and regular attendance; reliable transportation; clear spoken English to communicate with customers and supervise staff; ability to read and write English and perform business-related mathematics.
May need to relocate to different company locations based on operational needs and career growth.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Able to meet the position’s physical demands, including prolonged standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pulling, climbing ladders or stairs, and regularly lifting 5–25 pounds; heavier lifting may be required in some circumstances; good vision, including color differentiation.
