About The Position
Assists in the artistic needs of production, including interpreting the script, casting, and leading rehearsals. The role involves analyzing the text, developing an artistic vision, attending auditions and callbacks, and assisting in planning and running blocking and technical rehearsals. The Assistant Stage Director will also provide guidance and direction to actors, help them develop their characters and performances, and give notes to cast and crew when asked. This position requires attendance at all nights of production.

Responsibilities
- Assists in the artistic needs of production
- Interpreting the Script: Assist in analyzing the text, identifying themes, and developing a cohesive artistic vision for the production.
- Casting: Attend auditions and assist in the selection of actors to fill the various roles in the play.
- Rehearsals: Assist in leading blocking rehearsals, providing guidance and direction to actors, helping them develop their characters and performances.
- Giving notes to cast and crew when asked for
- Attend auditions and callbacks
- Assist in planning & running blocking and technical rehearsals
- Attend all nights of production
