About The Position

This is an extra duty position for an Assistant Softball Coach at North High School. The role involves developing and implementing an exemplary athletic program that provides the highest quality education and growth opportunities for every student athlete. The coach will work cooperatively with staff, relate positively to parents and community representatives, and demonstrate professional growth. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with school policies, maintaining a safe and orderly environment, fostering positive interactions among student-athletes, promoting self-direction and self-motivation, and exhibiting comprehensive knowledge of the sport. The coach will adapt instruction to individual needs, develop and sustain an organized program, and utilize appropriate coaching techniques. The position runs from March 8, 2027, to June 11, 2027, with a pay of $3,854.

Requirements

Prior coaching experience preferred.

Develop and sustain an organized athletic program guided by well structured, long term planning.
Demonstrate effective planning and organization while employing a diverse range of appropriate strategies and resources to enhance student athlete development.
Clearly convey fundamental coaching expectations to student athletes and explain their significance for personal, athletic, and academic growth.
Utilize appropriate and varied coaching techniques and learning activities.
Maintain an effective system of monitoring student progress and to inform appropriate persons.
