About The Position

The Assistant Shift Manager assists the manager in hiring, managing, scheduling, and supervising slot department staff during their shift. The role monitors operations to help ensure slots are played fairly and legally, supports training programs for slot personnel, and assists in developing the company’s system of Internal Controls, Policies, and Procedures. The Assistant Shift Manager monitors compliance with Title 31 and applicable gaming laws, maintains contact with slot customers, and works with management and department personnel to maintain efficient operations. The role supervises Guest Service Representatives.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management in written and verbal form.
Ability to handle customer disputes professionally and tactfully.
Ability to obtain or renew all government-required licenses or certifications, specifically a Nevada Gaming License.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Five years of previous supervisory experience in casino gaming.

Responsibilities

Practice, support, and promote the Company Service Standards at all times.
Manage the slot department during the assigned shift.
Approve jackpot payouts and ensure all appropriate forms are completed.
Ensure compliance with federal and state gaming regulations.
Maintain good working relations with all levels of the organization.
Assist in hiring, managing, scheduling, and supervising slot department staff.
Monitor slot operations to ensure games are played fairly and legally.
Assist in implementing training programs for slot personnel.
Assist in developing the company's system of Internal Controls, Policies, and Procedures.
Monitor procedures for compliance with Title 31 and pertinent gaming laws.
Establish and maintain contact with slot customers.
Work closely with management and department personnel to maintain optimum efficiency.
