About The Position
The Assistant Shift Manager Armed Security Operations leads frontline security operations across a gaming and resort destination. The role manages security-related matters for designated buildings, locations, and events; supervises and develops line-level security employees; protects controlled access points and premises; responds to emergencies; provides or coordinates appropriate first aid; and maintains professional relationships with law enforcement, emergency responders, gaming agents, and regulatory officials. The position requires flexibility to work alternate shifts as needed.
Requirements
- At least two years of management experience in the armed security industry.
- Valid and current Michigan Concealed Pistol License.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and customers.
- Flexibility to work alternate shifts as needed.

Responsibilities
- Manage security-related operational matters for designated buildings, locations, and events.
- Supervise, hire, train, and evaluate line-level security employees while fostering a team-oriented work environment.
- Monitor controlled access points and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, guests, and visitors.
- Guard against contraband, maintain premise security, and perform regular security safety system checks.
- Respond to and secure emergency scenes to prevent loss or damage, advise personnel of threats, summon emergency responders, and lead evacuations when necessary.
- Provide appropriate first aid, CPR, or AED assistance in accordance with emergency response procedures and reporting protocols.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with local law enforcement, emergency responders, gaming agents, and regulatory officials to ensure operational compliance.
