About The Position

The Assistant Security Manager supports the daily leadership of the Security Department, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, operational standards, and security protocols while fostering a culture of professionalism and service excellence. This position serves as a key operational leader, supporting security officers through training, coaching, and oversight while partnering closely with departments across the hotel. You will play an important role in maintaining life safety systems, coordinating security-related programs, conducting audits, and ensuring a secure environment that enables exceptional guest and associate experiences.

Requirements

  • Experience within hotel, hospitality, corporate security, law enforcement, or a related security environment.
  • Exposure to team supervision or leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of safety, security, and risk management practices and can confidently apply them in a dynamic hospitality setting.
  • Highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and in person, and are comfortable presenting information and handling challenging interactions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and can quickly learn and manage operational software and security platforms.
  • Remain calm under pressure, exercise sound judgment, and approach problem-solving with professionalism and discretion.
  • Work effectively both independently and collaboratively, building strong relationships across departments.
  • Hold a high school diploma.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Possess the physical capability to perform the operational requirements of an active security leadership role.

Responsibilities

  • Support and direct the daily operations of the Security Department to ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment.
  • Review security documentation, reports, logs, and records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures.
  • Manage Lost and Found operations, including collection, documentation, storage, return, and disposal processes.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits, maintaining all required records and supporting compliance initiatives.
  • Coordinate security onboarding processes, including access control administration and employee credential issuance.
  • Maintain employee vehicle registration records and locker assignment databases.
  • Serve as a liaison for VIP guests and security details, ensuring professional and discreet support.
  • Monitor and operate hotel life safety and security systems, responding appropriately to operational needs and emergencies.
