About The Position

The Catering Event Specialist plays a crucial role within the Catering team at Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek, focusing on creating exceptional experiences for wedding, social, and corporate clients. This role serves as a key partner in ensuring flawless event execution by collaborating closely with Catering, Sales, Banquets, Culinary, and Hotel Operations teams. Reporting to the Director of Catering, the Specialist works with event managers and operational teams to deliver personalized service that aligns with the property's luxury standards. The primary responsibility is coordinating and executing the details of confirmed social, wedding, and corporate events, acting as the main point of contact for clients. The goal is to translate client visions into seamless event execution while maintaining strong inter-departmental communication, exceptional organization, attention to detail, and a passion for guest service to enhance the property's reputation.

Requirements

  • Experience in hospitality, events, restaurant operations, administration, or a related service-focused environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with clients, planners, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, solve problems thoughtfully, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary coordination contact for assigned wedding, social, and corporate events.
  • Guide clients and event planners through menu selections, event logistics, and planning milestones.
  • Create, edit, and distribute banquet event orders, event diagrams, and detailed timelines.
  • Lead event turnovers and communication with Banquets, Culinary, and operational teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Coordinate site visits, menu tastings, and other event-related appointments.
  • Manage event deposits, billing processes, and accurate documentation within Sales Force and Opera systems.
  • Maintain thorough and timely communication with clients and internal stakeholders throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Foster strong partnerships across all hotel departments to deliver exceptional guest and client experiences.
