About The Position

The Assistant Salon Manager (also referred to as Assistant Salon Leader) supports the Salon Leader in running salon operations and leads the team when the Salon Leader is absent. The role combines providing salon services with developing leadership and business skills. The manager helps maintain a positive, productive salon culture, supports guest satisfaction, and contributes to profitable salon performance. Compensation is performance-based and may grow through service and retail commissions and tips; all compensation meets wage law requirements.

Requirements

Current cosmetology license for the state where applying.
Full-time commitment of at least 40 hours per week.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and dexterity to perform salon services precisely.
Basic math skills for inventory and cash handling.
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
Ability to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations as applicable.

Nice To Haves

Previous leadership experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Support daily salon operations, including managing the appointment book in Zenoti and ensuring guests have a positive experience.
Mentor and coach fellow stylists using the IGROW model to help them meet goals and develop their careers.
Lead by example in delivering the Guest Journey and fostering a positive, productive salon culture.
Help monitor performance statistics and support strategic scheduling and profitable salon operations.
Welcome and onboard new team members.
Help ensure compliance with State Board and OSHA standards and maintain a clean, safe salon.
Help execute local partnerships and digital marketing campaigns.
Bring personal salon equipment to work daily and perform salon services.
