About The Position

Join a locally owned Great Clips salon as an Assistant Salon Manager. This leadership role combines cutting hair with supporting daily salon operations and helping a team of stylists succeed. It may suit licensed stylists who are growing into management or seeking more responsibility while continuing to work behind the chair. The role offers tools, training, and support, including management and operations training through Great Clips University (GCU), technical coaching, and ongoing development. Assistant Salon Managers may have opportunities to advance to Salon Manager or other leadership positions. Great Clips salons are independently owned and operated by third-party franchisees, who are responsible for hiring and personnel matters.

Requirements

• A valid Cosmetology and/or Barber License; requirements vary by state or province.
• Strong technical haircutting skills.
• Great customer service skills.
• A team-first mindset and desire to encourage and support others.
• Clear communication skills and a positive, motivating attitude.
• Organization and flexibility.
• An interest in developing leadership skills and taking on more responsibility.
