About The Position

The Assistant Residential Manager manages a residence under the direction of the Residential Manager, ensuring smooth operations and the health and safety of adults with autism living there. The role supervises Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and directs their work, including teaching daily living skills, managing challenging behavior, providing recreational opportunities, and maintaining a clean environment.

The Assistant Residential Manager helps plan DSP activities through floor, task, or activity assignments. Assignments may include cleaning, recreation, cooking, driving, and medication administration. The position is based in person in the Bronx, New York, and pays $22.70 per hour. The listed schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of experience in an environment serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Comfort with daily use of technology, including typing, data entry, and email communication with families and medical professionals.
• Comfort driving a 15-passenger van.
