Assistant Residence Manager
About The Position
The Assistant Residence Manager works under the direction of the Residence Manager to ensure the day-to-day implementation of youths’ individual service plans. The role also provides daily communication, feedback, and supervision to the program’s child care counselors. The Assistant Residence Manager supervises Direct Care Workers when the Residence Manager is absent and represents the Residence Manager at assigned meetings. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, and requires evening and weekend work. It is located in Swan Lake, New York, with a listed salary range of $51,000 to $54,000 per year.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three years of supervisory experience.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Ability to use a computer and learn software programs.
- Ability to operate a fax machine, copier, scanner, and other office equipment.
- Fluent English speaking, reading, and writing skills, including correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Ability to meet the listed physical demands, including lifting, pushing and pulling, standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.

Responsibilities
- Supervise all full-time, part-time, and per diem Direct Care Workers in the absence of the Residence Manager.
- Represent the Residence Manager at assigned meetings.
- Review and submit payroll sheets bi-weekly.
- Attend bi-weekly team conferences, intakes, and service-plan reviews.
- Monitor daily logs, records of expenditures, clothing inventories, and the facility’s census.
- Monitor medication administration for accuracy and compliance with agency standards.
- Perform activities assigned to further the agency’s mission.
- Provide daily communication, feedback, and supervision to the program’s child care counselors.
- Ensure the day-to-day implementation of youths’ individual service plans.
