About The Position

The College of Engineering and the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences at the Pennsylvania State University are seeking a qualified and motivated individual to fill an Assistant Research Professor position to lead in vivo studies in dual-switch selection gene drives. This position will play a key role in advancing the in vivo delivery, efficacy, and safety of candidate dual-switch selection drives. The position will be in the Biomedical Engineering (BME) Department and affiliated with the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences. The Penn State BME Department and Huck Institutes provide a rich environment in which faculty, postdocs, and graduate and undergraduate students regularly interact and conduct collaborative studies, with access to state-of-the-art core facilities. Assistant Research Professors will have the opportunity to write their own grants and develop independent research directions from the security of an established, R01-funded program.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or a related field by the time of appointment.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in in vivo mouse handling and tumor models.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
