The Graduate School of Professional Psychology (GSPP) at the University of Denver (DU) is seeking to hire multiple faculty members for 10-month, benefited, clinical-track positions within the PsyD program. These positions are designed to contribute to the school's mission of transforming mental health and wellness through innovative academic programs and experiential training. The program emphasizes a well-rounded approach, integrating academic offerings, field-based training, applied research, and community engagement. GSPP, established in 1976, was one of the first Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) programs in the country, following the Vail (practitioner-scholar) model. It also offers specialized master's programs, online certificates, and continuing education. The faculty member will be responsible for teaching, scholarship, service, and clinical supervision duties. For full-time positions, teaching expectations are typically 27 credits over three quarters, with a reduction for half-time positions. A significant portion of the teaching load (10 credits) will involve clinical supervision of first-year students through the Professional Psychology Clinic (PPC). The PPC is a licensed Behavioral Health Entity that bills insurance. Faculty will also contribute to onsite supervision coverage for GSPP Clinical Services. Scholarship expectations are minimal, focusing on serving on doctoral paper committees and engaging in publications, presentations, research, and/or grant-related work. Service responsibilities include committee participation, admissions processes, competency exams, academic advising, and attending program events. The position reports to the Director of the PsyD Program. While appointments are for 10 months (September-June), some summer obligations, including compensated clinical supervision, may be expected. One of the hired faculty members may assume the administrative role of Director of the GSPP Internship Consortium, which includes a teaching load reduction and responsibilities for maintaining APA accreditation, overseeing site partnerships, and managing the intern selection and training process.
