About The Position

As an Assistant Property Manager with Fayette County Housing Authority, you will be part of a team that strives to strengthen local neighborhoods. Your work will help keep properties safe, organized, and welcoming for all. This includes supporting residents with the highest standard of customer service and assisting with important daily operations. This position supports daily property management operations needed to maintain affordable and safe assisted housing for the communities we serve. Work focuses on assisting with maintenance needs, resident services, and essential administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • One (1) year as a Management Aide; or Two years of experience in performing tasks associated with the management of multi-family housing developments, or properties owned or administered by public housing agencies; or two years of comparable business, industrial, or professional employment; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare requests for repairs, exterminations, and preventative, emergency, and routine maintenance across assigned properties
  • Conduct inspections and identify and resolve outstanding issues to help maintain the physical condition of properties
  • Assist with fixed assets, inventory tracking, and purchasing supplies in line with policy
  • Establish strong resident relations; answer questions courteously and promptly; and encourage resident organization participation and self sufficiency
  • Prepare and explain leases; calculate costs correctly; ensure accurate and timely processing of applications, lease ups, certifications, and annual interim re-certifications; and assist with lease enforcement firmly and fairly
  • Create and maintain tenant files; prepare monthly reports
