About The Position

MDI Management is seeking a dependable Assistant Property Manager who brings organization, follow-through, and strong communication to daily operations. This role supports the Property Manager and leasing team to ensure leasing activity, resident services, and administrative functions run smoothly. This is an on-site position requiring daily presence at the property. The Assistant Property Manager will assist with leasing performance, resident communication, and operational organization to help maintain strong occupancy and community standards. This role is ideal for a professional who prefers being involved in daily operations rather than staying behind a desk and thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoying team success.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of property management or leasing experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to follow through on tasks and support team operations
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Experience with AppFolio or similar software preferred
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds when needed

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Property Manager with daily on-site operations
  • Assisting leasing staff with task completion and follow-through
  • Greeting prospects and conducting property tours
  • Processing applications and preparing lease documentation
  • Maintaining vacancy reports and leasing records
  • Responding to resident requests and coordinating maintenance follow-up
  • Conducting property walks and reporting maintenance or appearance issues
  • Supporting marketing efforts and competitive property shops
  • Maintaining organized files and accurate records
  • Greeting and qualifying prospective residents
  • Conducting property tours and presenting community features
  • Processing applications and preparing lease and renewal documents
  • Collecting move-in paperwork and required deposits
  • Responding to resident concerns and submitting maintenance requests
  • Following up on completed service requests
  • Supporting resident retention and engagement efforts
  • Maintaining resident files and leasing documentation
  • Preparing leases, renewals, and notices
  • Maintaining vacancy and activity reports
  • Distributing resident notices and communications
  • Supporting daily office organization and workflow
  • Conducting routine property walks and reporting concerns
  • Communicating maintenance needs to the appropriate team
  • Assisting with monitoring vacant unit readiness
  • Supporting overall property presentation standards
