About The Position

TRC, Member of WSP, is hiring a permanent, full-time Assistant Project Manager in Settle, Washington, within its Permitting, Planning and Licensing Practice. The role supports energy and infrastructure projects and involves archaeological fieldwork, project coordination, research and regulatory compliance, data quality control, reporting, stakeholder communication, and project documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology.
• 4–5 years of professional experience in cultural resource management and archaeology.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, verbal communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and standard project-tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead or assist archaeological field crews conducting surveys, shovel testing, data recovery, and construction monitoring.
• Coordinate daily logistics, equipment preparation, staff scheduling, and subconsultant tracking.
• Assist with tracking project milestones, maintaining schedules, and organizing daily workflows.
• Conduct background and records searches and support compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), NEPA, and Washington SEPA.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control on field forms, GPS data, and site records, and prepare drafts of technical reports.
• Assist with client updates, agency coordination, and logistics for Native American or tribal monitoring.
• Manage project files and meeting notes.
