Assistant Project Manager / Estimator

OGD Equipment Company LLC•Fort Worth, TX
•Onsite

About The Position

OGD Equipment is the commercial new construction division of OGD, an overhead door and dock equipment company that began in Texas in 2011. Since 2012, OGD Equipment has partnered with general contractors, developers, and architects to supply and install commercial doors and dock systems. Its products include overhead sectional doors, rolling steel and fire doors, high-speed doors, loading dock equipment, HVLS fans, and cold storage equipment, for projects ranging from retail and auto dealerships to schools and large distribution centers. The Assistant Project Manager / Estimator supports the growth and delivery of OGD Equipment’s commercial new construction business. Working alongside a Senior Project Manager, the role spends approximately 80% of its time on estimating and business development support—including identifying projects, preparing takeoffs and pricing, and following up on bids—and approximately 20% managing awarded projects from procurement through closeout. Success is measured by bid volume and accuracy, conversion of quotes to awarded work, and on-time, on-budget project delivery. The position is intended as a learning role, with a goal of progressing to Project Manager within 18 to 36 months, when the employee will carry their own bookings and gross margin target.
