About The Position

The Assistant Project Manager - Electrical assists in leading complex electrical construction projects from kickoff through closeout. Working with Project Managers at RK Industries, the role supports project planning, budgets, schedules, subcontractor coordination, and client relationships on large-scale commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects. The position also contributes to project operations, field execution, administration, procurement, staffing, and labor-resource monitoring.

Requirements

1–2 years of experience as a project engineer or assistant project manager in electrical project management.
Ability to determine program objectives and requirements, organize programs and projects, and develop standards and guidelines for diverse activities.

Nice To Haves

Experience with large-scale industrial, commercial, and mission-critical construction.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management.
Journeyman or Master Electrician license.

Responsibilities

Assist with day-to-day leadership, project operations, staff coordination, and field execution across assigned projects.
Manage project administration and documentation, including contracts, permits, submittals, and closeout requirements, to protect RK and client interests.
Gain experience with project budgets, schedules, buyout plans, procurement coordination, billing schedules, and monthly contract valuations.
Ensure projects are properly staffed and monitor labor resource loading, productivity, tools, and rental equipment usage.
Collaborate with Project Managers on project planning, subcontractor coordination, and client relationships.
