As an Assistant Manager focused on fitness programming, you will design and implement cutting-edge workouts, lead a team of fitness professionals, and inspire members to reach their full potential. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field.
  • Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the fitness industry.
  • A passion for developing others, with a proven track record of mentoring and coaching team members.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an outgoing personality, strong customer service abilities, and a talent for building lasting client relationships.

Nice To Haves

  • Current certification from a nationally accredited industry association such as NASM, ACSM, NSCA, ACE is preferred.
  • Experience leading group classes is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform fitness assessments, determine exercise prescriptions, and design workout programs for a diverse population, including a variety of high-risk clientele
  • Design, implement, and manage a wide range of fitness programs, including group exercise classes, personal training, and specialized offerings.
  • Build strong relationships with members, providing exceptional customer service and addressing their fitness goals.
  • Mentor and supervise fitness staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest fitness trends and industry best practices to ensure our programs remain cutting-edge.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the fitness center, including facilities and maintenance
  • Instruct group exercise classes, and at some facilities, manage the group exercise scheduling and staffing
  • Assist the Program Manager with strategic planning, budgeting, and reporting.
