About The Position

Rite of Passage is hiring for an Assistant Program Director at Miami Youth Academy in Miami, Florida. Miami Youth Academy is a residential commitment program for at-risk female youth. This program provides youth comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based intensive mental health services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while in the program. After 40 years of improving the lives of youth, we are looking for passionate advocates to continue the legacy of helping young people become successful adults. Requirements

  • BA/BS in related field
  • Experience working with the Department of Juvenile Justice in Florida
  • A minimum of four years of related experience in residential facility management
  • Empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect
  • Able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the quality delivery and oversight of the treatment, educational, vocational and student health and welfare services in accordance with Rite of Passage policies and procedures as-well-as federal, state, and local rules, regulations, licensing, practices and laws.
  • In the absence of the Program Director, this position is responsible for the day-to-day site operations, administrative oversight for the site, and leader of the site management team.
  • Ensures that the Mission and Values of ROP are represented in every facet under his/her organizational control.
  • Develops, implements, manages and modifies the Rite of Passage program.
  • Oversees site operations, policies and procedures.
  • Oversees Educational/vocational departments.
  • Ensures safety, health and welfare of staff and students.
  • Oversees Clinical services, education, vocation and health and welfare “Best practices”.
  • Serves as Chairperson for site Management Meeting.
  • Oversees delivery of the Rite of Passage daily program.
  • Assists the Program Director with managing the budget, site expenditures, Position Control Roster, and reporting.
  • Responsible for training and continuous development of site management team.
  • Ensures training compliance (Pre-Service, Ops, OJT, and In-Service).
  • Handles Employee Evaluation, Discipline and/or corrective action.
  • Ensures proper staffing levels are maintained within established Position Control Roster standards.
