About The Position

The Assistant Program Coordinator will work in a friendly, professional, and supportive organization, making a difference in someone's life every day. This role involves coordinating, supervising, and monitoring clinical services and residential programming. The position requires providing clinical support, overseeing service delivery, leading meetings, assisting with staff recruitment and hiring, reviewing consumer records, ensuring staff training, and developing therapeutic programs. The goal is to ensure consumers have a safe, clean, and supportive living environment.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a mental health related discipline required such as Social Work, Psychology, Psychiatric Rehabilitation, Nursing, etc.
  • Previous Mental/Health Human Services experience required.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, with a good driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous mental health/human services supervisory and residential experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating, supervising, and monitoring clinical services and residential programming.
  • Supervising, training, mentoring, and evaluating Behavioral Health Counselors, including staff orientation and professional development.
  • Providing clinical support and on-call coverage for staff and consumers during crises and emergencies.
  • Overseeing all aspects of service delivery, including assessments, treatment planning, referrals, case conferences, family meetings, counseling, consumer advocacy, community coordination, and discharge planning.
  • Leading weekly staff meetings and consumer house meetings.
  • Assisting the Mental Health Director with the recruitment, hiring, and separation of residential staff.
  • Reviewing consumer records to ensure accurate, timely documentation and compliance with confidentiality requirements.
  • Ensuring all staff complete required Core Competency Training.
  • Overseeing staff scheduling and daily program operations.
  • Developing and implementing therapeutic in-house programs that meet consumer needs.
  • Ensuring consumers have a safe, clean, and supportive living environment.
  • Transporting consumers in agency vehicles safely and responsibly when needed.
