About The Position

The Department of Management Science within the University of Miami Business School seeks applicants for a tenure-track-eligible Assistant Professor position beginning in Fall 2027. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching and research in Operations Management & Information Systems or a related area, maintain a scholarly record commensurate with rank, and engage actively with the department, school, and broader communities. Demonstrated teaching excellence is especially desired. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae with contact information for three references, a representative publication, brief research and teaching statements, a copy of the graduate transcript, and information about teaching experience and evaluations if available. The Business School offers undergraduate, MBA, Executive MBA, MS, PhD, and non-degree executive education programs. The Management Science Department’s faculty are actively engaged in research and have published in top-tier academic journals. Faculty members also participate in journal editorial work, including service as editors and associate editors.

Requirements

Completed or expected Ph.D. in Operations Management & Information Systems or a related area before beginning employment.
A scholarly record commensurate with rank, including publications in top refereed journals as applicable to rank.
Outstanding pedagogical skills.
Willingness to actively engage within the department, school, and broader communities.
