About The Position

The Department of Business Technology within the University of Miami Business School seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position focused on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and information systems development, with a high level of proficiency. The position is expected to begin in Fall 2027. Candidates must have completed, or expect to complete before beginning employment, a Ph.D. in Business Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field. Applicants are expected to have a scholarly record that includes publications or revisions in top refereed Information Systems journals, outstanding pedagogical skills, and a willingness to engage actively within the department, school, and broader communities. Demonstrated teaching excellence is especially desired in large language models, generative AI, and agentic AI. Requirements
