About The Position

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) has a unique combination of education, research, and clinical programs that encourages and supports teamwork and diversity. The Assistant Professor will provide subspecialized expertise for a wide breadth of neuropathology with studies provided by the varied subspecialists in neurosurgery, neurology, otolaryngology, and neuroopthalmology. This position involves providing advanced neuroimaging for the comprehensive evaluation of brain tumors (MR perfusion/tractography and fMRI) and a comprehensive total body evaluation of myeloma patients with CT, MRI, total body PET, and total body DWIBS.

Requirements

  • M.D. or equivalent degree required
  • Pediatric IR fellowship or adult IR training with comparable pediatric experience.
  • Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible by the Arkansas Board of Radiology (ABR), or eligible for an alternate pathway.
  • Must have an Arkansas medical license or be eligible for licensure.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced neuroimaging for the comprehensive evaluation of brain tumors (MR perfusion/tractography and fMRI).
  • Provide a comprehensive total body evaluation of myeloma patients with CT, MRI, total body PET, and total body DWIBS.
