About The Position

The School of Accountancy at California State University, Fullerton, invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in Accounting. Requirements

  • Ph.D. in accounting, information systems, data science, business analytics, or a related field (by the time of appointment).
  • Demonstrated commitment to and excellence in undergraduate teaching.
  • A strong record of scholarly accomplishments appropriate to the level of appointment.
  • Experience in working collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Ability to balance excellent teaching, scholarship, and service.
  • Demonstrated potential for effective integration of technology into instruction.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with students from intersecting marginalized social groups.
  • Ability and commitment to communicate and work effectively with students, staff, and faculty in a culturally diverse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Development and teaching of introductory and/or core courses in the discipline.
  • Development of courses in their area(s) of specialization.
  • Teaching Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Data Analytics, or Emerging Technologies in Accounting.
  • Producing peer-reviewed research and scholarly activities commensurate with the requirements for tenure.
  • Contributing to and participating in the life and development of the School of Accountancy.
  • Advising students.
  • Serving on committees.
  • Participating in the broader university and disciplinary communities.
