Construction Management, Assistant Professor, Tenure Track

Requirements

• An earned doctoral degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
• An undergraduate degree in Construction Management from an ACCE or ABET accredited institution, or in Construction Engineering or Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution, or a closely related field from a similarly accredited institution.
• Excellent oral and written English language skills.

Nice To Haves

• Publication record in academic journals and proceedings.
• The potential for a viable externally funded research program.
• Three or more years of full-time work experience in a construction management or construction engineering discipline.
• Research expertise in one or more of the following areas: Artificial intelligence in construction management, concrete materials science, or concrete production Virtual design and construction, extended reality, digital twins, digital construction Predictive analytics for schedule/cost/risk in construction 3D printed concrete structures Modular and offsite construction Resilient and insurable construction systems
• Ability to teach in one or more of the following content areas: Construction technology Construction materials, means and methods Construction equipment and methods Construction contracts, risk and ethics Fundamentals of concrete construction, means and methods Precast/Prestressed concrete products and management Sustainability in concrete Concrete problems, diagnosis, and prevention
• Earned construction industry certifications (i.e. Certified Professional Constructor ( CPC ), Project Management Professional ( PMP ), Certified Construction Manager ( CCM ), LEED -AP, DBIA Design-Build Professional, or related).
