The Department of Management and Human Resources at The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Strategic Management. We seek a candidate with a recently completed or soon-to-be-completed PhD degree. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional promise to produce high-quality, impactful research addressing canonical questions in strategic management. The successful candidate will contribute to the department’s research and teaching missions in strategic management, with a particular emphasis on advancing foundational conversations in the field. We welcome applicants whose work engages core issues such as: Firm boundaries, capabilities, and performance Competitive strategy and sustained competitive advantage Innovation, learning, and organizational design Strategic decision-making under uncertainty Candidates may employ a range of theoretical and empirical approaches, but must demonstrate a commitment to rigorous, theory-driven, and reproducible research that contributes to fundamental conversations in the strategic management field.
