About The Position

Concordia University Wisconsin seeks a full-time Assistant Professor of Psychology starting Fall 2027 with experience teaching a variety of undergraduate courses both in person and online. This position is located at the Mequon, WI campus. The position is in the Department of Psychology in the School of Arts and Sciences. Candidates from all areas of specializations are welcome to apply. Teaching responsibilities may include Introductory Psychology, Lifespan Development, Social Psychology, and other courses in Psychology. Candidates should be committed to student development, experiential learning/service, and professional development. CUW is a Christian University (LCMS) that emphasizes the integration of faith and learning in all areas. This position includes skills in program assessment and interdisciplinary collaboration. Faculty scholarship/research is expected and supported. Additional responsibilities include committee work, student mentorship/advising, and department development.

Requirements

  • Earned doctorate in Psychology from an accredited institution is preferred although highly qualified applicants making progress toward a Ph.D. will be considered.
  • College teaching experience is required.
  • Demonstrates effective leadership, organizational skills, and is a self-starter.
  • Exhibits a willingness and ability to work with diverse individuals and organizations.
  • Familiar with the university campus life.
  • Able to deal with interruptions and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to present a Christian and professional manner.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Able to travel occasionally on behalf of the University.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work night/weekends as needed.
  • Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS).
